Help for Anxiety and Trauma
Are you experiencing a great deal of fear or worry that seems to overtake you at times. You may be under stress, find yourself feeling strong emotions you don’t understand, or experiencing physcial disruptions that are concerning you.
Dealing with extremely stressful situations in our current life, growing up in a difficult home, or experiencing a traumatic event can create repercussions that leave us with difficult reactions and places where we just feel stuck. At times we may have fears, a general feeling of anxiety, an inability to take action, anger, sadness, phobias, flashbacks, and difficulty trusting and feeling safe.
Along with other fear and worry reduction tools, EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing can help. EMDR is an extensively researched approach that can speed up the reduction of distress and the movement to resolution. EMDR is supported by the American Psychiatric Association and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I have done the training and demonstrated the experience to become an EMDRIA EMDR Certified Therapist.
It is possible to deal with current stressors or past experiences, and put them together in a new way that makes sense and puts them in the past allowing you to move forward with meaning and confidence.
